Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is searching for a Sr Integration & Test Engineer to support our Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department. As a member of the SEIT department you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Chief Engineer, Integration & Test leads, System Engineer leads, and software development teams to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at EGI-M Program, at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. This position will be 100% on-site.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-out and sell-off.
  • Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
  • Conduct comprehensive verification of system requirements to ensure alignment with system specifications
  • Design and develop detailed and robust test cases, test scripts, and test procedures to validate system functionality and performance
  • Performing hands-on electrical testing at CCA level test setup and execution
  • Performing hands-on electrical testing at a systems level
  • Incorporating hardware and/or software design changes
  • Documenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actions
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data reduction scripts to enhance efficiency and streamline validation processes
  • Minimum 10% travel to be expected (to customer, supplier, and other Northrop Grumman locations)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Integration & Test Engineering, or related technical fields, a Master's degree with 5 years of experience
  • Verifying inertial system performance with simulators including Spirent or CAST simulators.
  • Processing inertial and GPS system data with Matlab to understand if system meets performance requirements
  • Hands-on experience with one or more communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429 or RS-422
  • Experience with GPS and Inertial navigation systems
  • Experience in electrical testing, diagnostics, and formal requirements decomposition with traceability and verification.
  • Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software in a lab environment
  • Skilled in writing both automated and manual test procedures to validate system functionality
  • Extensive background in system integration, and testing processes
  • Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Spirent or CAST simulators and Ethernet protocols
  • Experience creating automated test scripts that integrate with hardware interfaces.
  • Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting, Thermal Chambers, and Vibration Test systems
  • Strong track record of driving innovation and spearheading digital-transformation initiatives in test workflows.
  • Experience engaging external customers through meetings, presentations, and technical negotiations.
  • Proficient in applying DO-178C safety-critical software verification processes, ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace and defense industry standards.
  • Skilled in utilizing IBM Rational DOORS for requirements management and traceability throughout the development lifecycle
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
