Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required.
• Active Kentucky state SLP license is required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working in an acute or long-term acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating and treating dysphagia and communication disorders, including instrumental assessment familiarity (FEES or modified barium swallow) preferred.
• Ability to complete timely, concise medical record documentation including daily notes, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with hospital and payer requirements.
• Willingness to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in equipment trials, patient/family training, and discharge planning.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education. Adherence to discipline-specific state practice act required.
