Description
Job Purpose
The Speech-Language Pathologist (Clinical Fellow) (SLP-CF) develops and implements clinical interventions for children with autism spectrum disorder and/or related disabilities who experience communication deficits under the supervision of an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. Treatment occurs primarily in the Pediatric ABA clinic space; however, occasional visits to homes, schools, or other providers may occur for service coordination. The SLP-CF provides intervention related to all areas of communication and provides parent and staff consult and training as needed. The SLP-CF takes an active role in ensuring all communication services are delivered in accordance with current evidence-based practices and are provided in an ethical manner. The SLP-CF works collaboratively with Behavior Analysts, Behavior Technicians, and other VIA staff as appropriate. The SLP-CF maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by their supervisor.
