Job Title: Specimen Processor
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume consumer genetics laboratory by processing patient specimens that help people learn about their ancestry and understand their genetic health risks. As a Specimen Processor, you will work in a laboratory environment to receive, prepare, and organize samples for testing, while maintaining accurate records and supporting quality assurance activities during a peak season project.

Work Environment
This position is based in a laboratory setting focused on high-volume processing of patient specimens for consumer genetics testing. You will work primarily at the bench and computer, handling biological samples, preparing and labeling tubes, discarding old samples, and pulling specimens to be shipped to another biobank. The environment is process-driven and quality-focused, with established protocols for specimen handling, safety, and waste disposal. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supporting consistent daytime scheduling in a professional lab environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Gibsonville, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
