Description
(Dermatology, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation)
At the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon (VRCCO), you will join a collaborative, mission driven community dedicated to delivering exceptional specialty medicine. Our hospital combines individualized, compassionate care with advanced, evidence-based practices. We are home to a purpose-built specialty campus exceeding twenty-six thousand square feet, where our culture centers on teamwork, humility, growth, and creating the best possible experience for both our patient guests and their pet parents.
VRCCO continues to grow rapidly, and with that growth comes significant investment in our people. We recently evolved our leadership structure to create clearer development pathways for our teams. Former supervisors have transitioned into lead roles across three levels that reflect skillset, capability, and operational needs. This new Specialty Supervisor will support several specialty departments while mentoring leads who are still developing into their leadership roles. As staffing increases, we will continue to evaluate department distribution and may eventually add a second Specialty Supervisor to divide specialties more evenly.
VRCCO has been Great Place to Work Certified since 2021 and remains the only veterinary organization to offer onsite childcare through our Vet Cadets program. With competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a deep commitment to professional development, you will find a long-term home and meaningful career path here.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Specialty Supervisor to support and develop multiple specialty service lines. This role will lead Dermatology, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Rehabilitation. The ideal candidate is a motivated, compassionate leader who excels at operational oversight, clinical support, and team development across a diverse group of departments.
This is a salaried leadership role requiring flexibility in hours based on operational needs, caseload variability, and the developmental needs of the teams supported. The position is expected to include roughly thirty percent administrative responsibilities and seventy percent hands on clinical support, though this balance may shift over time as the organization grows. Due to VRCCO’s rapid growth and complexity, the scope of this position aligns with what some organizations might classify as a Manager role, even though it is titled Supervisor within our structure.
