The CSIM SMA Trading and Trade Support Team is responsible for providing focused support to Portfolio Managers and Traders for daily trade order generation, tax loss harvesting and account maintenance on behalf of Schwab’s separately managed account (SMA) products. In addition, the team is responsible for several strategic, multi-year projects, cross-functional reporting, as well as ad-hoc operational strategy support to other teams within the larger organization. The Specialist will play a key role in managing client assets against our proprietary models, fulfilling client requests, supporting order generation and assisting in the creation and maintenance of vital client records. The Specialist will:

• Effectively partner with a large, geographically dispersed team
• Complete order generation for all types of daily client requests in accordance with the assigned models
• Update and maintain the models in our portfolio management system
• Monitor our portfolio management system setup to analyze order generation implications. Look for areas of improvement to better align order generation with desired Portfolio Manager outcomes.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly checks to review accounts for cash and security drift across the strategies, exceptions, etc.
• Learn how to support other CSIM SMA products in a backup capacity
• Work on ad hoc projects or initiatives to support the team

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1-2 years of financial services experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with a superior level of attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft products Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly learn new software applications.

• Collaborative and relational work style with proven success in a team environment
• Use of VestmarkONE for portfolio management and order generation a plus
