We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE NEW Incineration unit is seeking an Special Handling Technician will be responsible for performing industrial labor and other physically demanding work outdoors, under potentially adverse conditions, as well as within the facility/plant work environment. This is a great opportunity for college students or recent high school grads wanting to gain some work experience. NEW wage, $29 hour w/ OT, 4- 12 hour rotating (days/nights) shifts per week (6a-6p/6p-6a)Must be willing to work nights. We are searching for a safety-oriented and reliable individual to join our team in Kimball, NE.

  • Performs general labor throughout the facility to preparing materials for the incineration process
  • Ensures the safety of him or herself as well as those around them
  • Performs manual tasks such as cleaning up spills when necessary while taking all safety precautions necessary to prevent injury
  • This operation involves significant hazardous waste handlingincluding bulk sampling, drum decanting, liquid pumping, tanker cleaning, and confined space entry (CF Space).
  • Tasks require full protective suits and use of equipment such as Super Suckers and Guzzlers. Work is associated with elevated danger and high physical exertion - crews rotate in Ty-Vac suite on 1-hour in/1-hour out shifts due to heat and workload. Materials are wrapped, separated, and transferred to the warehouse for processing.
  • Includes bucket drops, Rotary kiln operations, and baghouse maintenance and line cleaning.
  • Involves handling sulfide materials with variable pH (low/high), which are both air- and water-reactive. Operations occur in bays with tanker feeds directed to the Train 2 unit (Ash/Truck operations deliver and manage tankers).
