This contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher ESY supporting the 2026 ESY program in Illinois. The role is offering a part-time summer assignment for an educator who is ready to support students with diverse learning needs in a school-based setting.
Position Details:
- Start Date: June 15, 2026
- End Date: July 16, 2026
- Schedule: 7:45 AM – 12:45 PM Monday – Thursday
- Location: On-site in Lake County, IL
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction that supports students with disabilities in school-based learning environments.
- Implement individualized education plans and provide services aligned to each student’s documented needs.
- Support students in inclusive, pull-out, and specialized classroom settings as required by the program.
- Provide targeted academic, social, behavioral, and functional support based on each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and related service providers to help students access instruction and participate in the educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Special Education certification is required.
- Ability to support students with diverse learning needs in school-based special education settings.
- Experience implementing individualized plans and adapting instruction based on student needs.
- Ability to provide individualized and small-group support in a structured educational environment.
- Familiarity with evidence-based strategies that support academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or functional growth.
