  • Position Summary:

    The Electrician
    is responsible forprovidingtechnicalexpertiseto safely plan and perform electrical work for residential solarprojects. 

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Safely plan and complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPU), GMA’s, Battery backup installs, and other major electrical work 
    • Ensure that the work is performed in a neat andworkmanlikemanner and compliant with all State and local codes andstandards
    • Assemble all components of a residential solarsystem
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electricalissues
    • Interface with branch leadership to ensure compliance withelectrician/laborratios and continuing educationrequirements
    • Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utilityrequirements
    • Work with crew and completeall portionsof Photovoltaic systems installs (PV)
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electricalcomponentsand system issues.
    • Follow all safe work practices. 
    • Providetop-notchcustomer service throughout theinstallation
    • Upload photos and update job status in the company database when work iscomplete
    • Strong knowledge and experience of conduit bending (EMT) ability toproducequality day after day.
    • Perform service maintenance and repairs asneeded
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned. 
    • Document work by taking pictures and completing workorders

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Education & Certifications:
    • High school diploma,GEDor equivalent
    • Depending on the region, may berequiredto hold a Journeyman License orhigher
    Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience
    � � Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distributionpanels
    • Must be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electricaltrade
    • Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course ofbusiness
    • Mustmaintaina clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving backgroundcheck
    • Working knowledge of current NEC codes
    • Ability to effectively manage work to achieve requiredtimelines
    • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
    • Ability to read and interpret single- and three-linedrawings
    • Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse
    • Ability to interact with co-workers andparticipateinmeetings
