This Software Engineer will play a key role in driving Enrollments initiatives to address the needs of multiple lines of businesses utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable full stack technologies.  This position requires collaboration with various technology teams, partnering with Business users and downstream application teams.

The selected candidate will participate in the support, enhancement and implementation of key internal applications, including authorization middleware systems for Wholesale.  They will work closely with the Technical/Team Lead identifying and implementing enhancements to improve application stability and availability and application enhancements defined by business needs.
 
The successful applicant will have relevant experience in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.   Proven time spent providing coding direction to less experienced staff  and developing highly complex original code in a geographically diverse environment is a plus.
 
Willingness to work in a tight team culture in the middle of large WF IT group providing core services for Wells Fargo Wholesale Online applications where priorities change daily is a must.

This position requires collaboration with various technology teams, partnering with Business users and downstream application teams. The ideal candidate will:

  • Act as a lead developer and provide application design, guidance, and consultation utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology tools and existing designs
  • Provide coding direction to less experienced staff and develops highly complex original code
  • Provide hand-on programming, unit testing and building high quality code that is manageable, reliable and maintainable
  • Identifies important emerging technologies and leads in analysis of their benefits and impact.
  • Provide technical design, solution consultation and support in the development of web/service applications and programs.
  • Analyze highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications
  • Oversee overall systems testing including ET, SIT, and UAT etc.
  • Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of good quality of code, best practices, testing strategy and debugging of programs
  • Develop new documentation and participates in the development of department technical procedures.
  • Provide guidance and directions in resolution of escalated issues and/or system problems.
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
  • Be responsible for maintaining SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) compliance and manage risks.
  • Provide support during off-hours/weekend during production deployment and UAT

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering and implementation experience
  • 3+ years of C# .NET or Java development experience
  • 5+ years of Spring experience
  • 2+ years of database experience
  • 2+ years of Splunk experience
  • 2+ years of Hibernate experience
  • 2+ years of static code review experience
  • 5 + years of experience with Subversion source control repository management
  • 2+ years of AppDynamic experience


Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and availability for 24/7 production support on a rotating basis
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong experience designing, troubleshooting, and tuning for performance
  • Financial industry experience (Wells Fargo experience preferred)
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Agile experience w/ fast turn-around time
  • Mongo DB experience




Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

CA-Fremont: Min: $100,800 Mid: $144,000 Max: $187,200
