The Internet Development Team (IDT) is looking for a software engineer to support 4 Public Accessible applications (PAA) and 2 internal applications. The Software Engineer will be providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products.
The candidate will design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices. Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains. Lead projects through the whole software development life-cycle, including designing, coding, automation testing, functional testing, security testing and post deployment support. The engineer also needs to provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.
The engineer will act as an individual contributor and/or team contributor for the application initiatives. The candidate must be a self-starter, should have the ability to take ownership and be able to work well both independently and in a team environment with confidence. Proven written and verbal communication skills are a must. Successful candidate must also have leadership experience with managing work in a fast-paced and a rapidly changing environment, possess strong autonomous problem-solving skills.
