The Software Engineer Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products. Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices. Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments. Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments. Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures. Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems. Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain. This position will be working on the Advice Control Center team in the Advisory value stream within Wealth Investment Management Technology Teams.  Expected to be passionately interested in making improvements and create high quality work.  Will be a full stack developer including responsible for creating automated tests.  Will be an active participant in all agile ceremonies (e.g. SCRUM, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning and Sprint Review).

• Full Stack JAVA development with Spring Boot
• Develop and test code related to enhancing advisory control center application
• Experience with Git Hub
• Build new functionality
• Experience with Angular
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, Mongo DB
• Experience with Cloud technologies
• Experience working in a AGILE Environment
• Experience with CI CD pipeline

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of Java experience
• 5 + years of J2EE experience
• 5+ years of Maven experience, Gradle experience or combination of both
• 5+ years of source/version control tools experience
• 4+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
• 3+ years of experience with Java Message Service (JMS) tools such as WebSphere MQ or Solace
• 1+ year of experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkins or Cucumber
• 1+ years of web client side development using Angular or Razor
• A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

• An industry-standard technology certification
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
• Experience in one or a combination of the following: Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes
• 5+ years of database experience
• Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
• Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis
• Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: solutions development
• Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend and downstream interfaces
• 2+years of Mongo DB experience

• Ability to work outside of regular business hours
• Ability to work additional hours as needed
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
