Software Engineer Intern

Securest is a compliance tech startup building products that automate the security execution work that B2B SaaS companies need to close enterprise deals. We have active clients, real revenue, and a product roadmap we're actively shipping. You'll work directly with the founders, side by side, on features that go live to real clients.

This is not a ticket-closing internship. You'll own features, make architectural decisions, and build things that matter.

🛠️ What You'll Work On

• Building and iterating on workflow automation features for compliance execution
• Developing integrations with HR and IAM systems (Rippling, Gusto, Okta, Google Workspace)
• Contributing to our Intelligence and Workflows product surfaces
• Writing clean, well-documented code with real production impact
• Collaborating async with a small, fast-moving team

✅ What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a CS, software engineering, or related program
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Familiarity with REST APIs and OAuth-based integrations
• Ability to work 30 hours per week with flexibility around your schedule
• Strong communication skills
• Someone who takes initiative - you will have autonomy in this role
• We have a dedicated space in Penn’s Venture Lab in Philadelphia and will operate hybrid 2-3 days a week here.

• Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with compliance, security, or GRC tooling
• Prior internship or project experience shipping production code
• Playwright, OAuth, or webhook experience

💰 Compensation & Details

• $20-30/hour based on experience
• 30 hours/week
• May 18 - August 31, 2025
• Hybrid 2-3 days/week at Penn Venture Lab, Philadelphia
• Strong performers considered for full-time post-graduation
