We're looking for a Social Workerto join our Sulphur Clinic.Our Behavioral Health Services division provides comprehensive and coordinated outpatient services to individuals with mental illness and/or an addictive disorder (alcohol, drugs, or gambling) for both adults and children.Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus:A master's degree in social work.NOTE:Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found
here.Job Duties:
- Plans, prioritizes, and manages psychosocial assessments and clinical treatment services by evaluating clients’ functioning, conducting intensive interviews, gathering historical, legal, and/or technical data in order to determine and implement the most effective type of psychosocial intervention needed.
- Provide individual and group counseling to persons with a mental illness and/or an addiction using evidence-based practices, which include, but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Interpersonal Processing Therapy (IPT).
- Provides crisis intervention/assessment to clients who are suicidal, SPMI, co-occurring, addicted, homicidal, gravely disabled, or otherwise high risk.
- Communicate with various inpatient treatment facilities, court systems, DCFS, DHH attorney, mental health advocate, clients, and family members to ensure continuity of care for clients.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
