Site Design Civil Engineer (Entry-Level)

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Entry‑Level Site Design Civil Engineer to join our Milwaukee-based team. This position is ideal for recent civil engineering graduates or early‑career engineers looking to gain hands‑on experience in site and land development design across commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal projects. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams while building a strong foundation in site civil design, permitting, and construction support.

• Assist with site civil design for land development projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control
• Support the preparation of construction documents, calculations, reports, and cost estimates
• Develop site layouts in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Wisconsin and municipal standards
• Collaborate with internal teams such as survey, geotechnical, transportation, and structural engineering
• Assist with permitting efforts and help respond to municipal and agency review comments
• Participate in site visits and provide construction‑phase support alongside senior engineers
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop and modify plans and profiles
• Support project schedules, quality control reviews, and internal coordination
• Communicate clearly with project managers, teammates, and external partners

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
• 0–2 years of experience in site design, land development, or related internship/co‑op experience
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (academic or internship experience acceptable)
• Basic understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly, manage tasks, and work collaboratively in a team environment

• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability/intent to obtain
• Internship or co‑op experience related to land development or site civil engineering
• Exposure to municipal permitting or development review processes
• Interest in commercial, residential, industrial, or municipal development projects

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $28.85/hr.
