SITE COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Site Coordinator Department: School Site Reports to: Director of Program Services Exempt Non-Exempt X Location: Assigned Location Revised/Reviewed: 03/2023 Contract Days: 208 8 hour day GENERAL DUTIES Under the general direction of the Director of Program Services, the Site Coordinator is responsible for managing the day to day operations of their school site; work closely with staff, community agencies, parents/families; coordinating the provision of community services for the benefit of the students and their families; be responsible for meeting contractual and CIS related goals. The Site Coordinator plans enrichment activities for students and families and is responsible for meeting deadlines and submitting monthly reports and required documents. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: the following statements shall not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. 1. Provide positive on-site management and leadership of the CIS Program 2. Complete a campus needs assessment by identifying services available, service gaps and potential solutions 3. Provide individual supportive guidance and case management services for CIS students and their families 4. Coordinate referrals of students and families to outside agencies for specific services not provided on-site 5. Keep student information confidential 6. Work in collaboration with partner agency personnel, volunteers, interns, guest presenters/speakers and program events 7. Coordinate and implement individual and group services that address the individualized and common needs of students 8. Coordinate designated number of school wide services involving 75% of whole school population annually 9. Develop a service plan for each student to address specific needs which targets obstacles that students face which impact academic, behavior, attendance and/or social service needs 10. Collaborate with appropriate school staff to focus on student support services 11. Keep principal informed regarding students served, CIS activities and events 12. Monitor and document student progress and enter this data into the approved data entry system 13. Create and maintain accurate and complete CIS files for each student with up to date information as per program procedures and guidelines 14. Ensure that all documentation and data is current, accurate and complete 15. Coordinate in-kind donations to support student needs and program activities 16. Maintain a neat and orderly CIS office 17. Report to CIS Central Office: monthly report, problems/issues, financial matters, etc... 18. Adhere to all agency policies & procedures 19. Abide by the standards of ethical conduct established in the CIS Code of Ethics 20. Perform other duties that may be necessary to the successful operation of the CIS Program SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: 1. Works in a manner that is supportive to peers, supervisors and/or subordinates 2. Maintains regular and acceptable attendance 3. Promotes professionalism through poised and effective phone etiquette, manners, appearance, and attitude 4. Attend meetings and conferences as called by Director of Program Services and/or Executive Director 5. Manage timesheet 6. Plan and execute appropriate expenditures for activities and events and maintain a campus budget KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The Site Coordinator shall demonstrate competence in the following: 1. Bilingual: English/ Spanish preferred 2. Communicate effectively: speak and write in a clear and thorough manner 3. Ethical decision making: understand ethical behavior and practices and ensures that own behavior is aligned to these ethics 4. Organize: Set priorities, monitor progress, maintain data and deliver activities 5. Demonstrate high level of personal initiative 6. Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve issues and make decisions that enhance the effectiveness of the program 7. Computer literacy 8. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or related field 2. Experience in social services and/or working with at-risk populations is preferred 3. Proven ability to set priorities and work with minimal supervision 4. Willingness to follow the philosophy of CIS and work as a team player 5. Must have reliable transportation 6. Ability to pass a background check PHYSICAL SKILLS Must have reliable transportation. Site Coordinator may be required to attend conferences and meetings at which public speaking/representing the agency in a public role is necessary.
