Position: Showroom Assistant Manager

Position reports to: CEO, Sales Manager and Product Content Manager

Job Location: Lightology Showroom 215 W. Chicago Ave. Chicago IL 60614

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $55,000 - $60,000 Yearly



Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Company’s retail showroom. Responsible for the operation of shipping, receiving, purchasing, installation coordination, Customer Service, and Sales support. Responsible for the development and improvement of service to customers, including policies and procedures. Responsible for improving internal communication and

information flow related to servicing customers and the completion of their transactions. Responsible for bringing a team-like atmosphere throughout the company.


Responsibilities


As an Assistant Showroom Manager, you are responsible for delivering sales results for the showroom. You have a passion for our product and our customers, creating a unique experience for them.

  • As an Assistant Store Manager, in partnership with Management, assist with training Sales and Customer Service Associates
  • Service Associate, Merchandising, Inventory, and expense control
  • Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Resolve issues for the customer’s satisfaction by working in a collaborative partnership with Management and other departments and following up with the customer on order tracking and updates
  • Ensure and maintain inventory integrity, accuracy, location, etc.
  • Responsible for all receiving and warehouse operations
  • Ensure store merchandising standards are maintained (i.e., merchandising visuals, marketing, cleanliness, appropriate inventory levels, warehouse and storage organization, safety, etc.) in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures
  • Process ERP transactions (i.e., sales, returns, correction orders, exchanges, etc.) in accordance with company policies and provide accurate information to clients and internal partners
  • Maintain a calm demeanor and manage issues professionally and respectfully in accordance with company standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Support recruiting, training, mentoring, and scheduling in partnership with Management
  • Ensure accurate pricing and approve discounts or exceptions when appropriate
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations

Requirements

  • Experience managing a retail showroom or similar environment, or demonstrated ability to step into a leadership role
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Comfort receiving direct, honest feedback and adjusting quickly
  • Ownership mindset with strong follow-through
  • Knowledge of lighting or electrical products preferred; design experience is a plus
