Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing tools, equipment, and products within the storage facilities, along with other tasks as assigned. Responsible for performing routine semi-skilled work in the maintenance of multiple facility locations.



What you will do:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment including company/work vehicles
  • General shipping and receiving tasks: UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and various truck deliveries and pickups
  • Includes the proper completion of required paperwork and legal compliance
  • Packing and shipping various products and parts appropriately, efficiently, and with regard to how the customer will receive them
  • Maintain multiple facility locations through janitorial duties, updates, regular building maintenance, and miscellaneous maintenance repairs
  • Maintain inventories in a clean, organized fashion

We are looking for:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift license preferred and/or willing to become certified
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with various departments and personnel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to problem solve and offer solutions
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations that may arise

Physical requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to perform various physical duties such as using hands, reaching, standing, crouching, sitting, climbing; as well as regularly lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and see clearly required to maintain personal and facility safety
  • The employee is frequently exposed to vibration and the work environment noise level is usually loud
