The Shipping / Receiving Clerk will be responsible to efficiently receive, rotate, and ship products into and out of the Bakery. The incumbent will ensure that raw materials and supplies will be moved throughout the production process; with an effective record keeping process to be maintained for compliance with FDA and other regulatory bodies. This position will ensure that all bakery raw materials and supplies must conform to the plant's HACCP Plan which meets FDA's requirements. The dock area, freezers, and dry storage must be kept in an audit ready state at all times. The handling equipment must also be audit ready at all times. Work must be performed in a safe and quality-oriented manner satisfying all White Castle Systems, Inc, FDA, and external regulatory standards.

1st shift M-F 7:00AM - 3:00pm

2nd shift M-T 3:00pm - 1:00AM

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED is required;
• Prior warehouse and inventory experience preferred;
• Experience with WMS/ERP warehouse software preferred;
• Must have ability and have prior experience driving a forklift;
• Ability to become licensed for the operation of a forklift and motorized hand jack;
• Possess proficient computer experience with Microsoft word, Outlook & Excel;
• Aptitude to complete the 10-hour OSHA training and yearly leadership training course through Alchemy;
• Possess good verbal communication skills, teamwork, ability to give and receive direction, and follow detailed instructions;
• Aptitude to stay focused and accomplish multiple tasks independently with limited supervision and within established timeframes;
• Competent in effective communication and interpersonal skills with supervisors, drivers, and operations supervisor, in the absence of the traffic/warehouse coordinator.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Receive, inspect, record and rotate raw materials and supplies;
• Communicate with the transportation department and 3rd party trucking companies to coordinate receipt of raw materials and supplies;
• Unload trucks of raw materials and supplies, check trailer conditions such as temperature setting, temperature reading, trailer number and seal number, and condition of the interior;
• Use the forklift, pallet jacks, or electrical pull behinds to move raw materials and supplies to and from trailers;
• Remove any damaged raw materials or supplies that have been damaged and notify quality assurance and plant management of any damage;
• Receiving packaging materials, chemical supplies and miscellaneous packages;
• Properly store packaging material; ensure that the floor drain plugs are in place and use personal protective equipment as needed. Properly store chemicals in the approved chemical storage areas;
• Supply the production area with the necessary supplies;
• Maintain the shipping/receiving area, dry storage, freezers, dock areas, and shipping/receiving office in clean and in an audit ready state;
• Clean and maintain the forklifts and pallet jacks.
