Job Title: 2pm Put Away Warehouse Associate
Job Description

This role supports warehouse operations by accurately receiving, organizing, and putting away merchandise in a fast-paced distribution environment. Working under direct supervision, you will handle incoming products, verify documentation, and prepare items for internal distribution and customer orders, ensuring that inventory is stored safely and efficiently for smooth warehouse workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Generate manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in the warehouse computer system.
  • Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations.
  • Verify merchandise documentation and record incoming items by part number and quantity.
  • Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence or layout.
  • Prepare products for distribution within the facility so that orders can be fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping.
  • Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in line with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence to support efficient assembly by other team members.
  • Create and enter records for manifests using the warehouse computer system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow all safety practices while working around forklifts, hand carts, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Up to 0–6 months of warehouse experience preferred, with willingness to learn warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills to create and enter records in the warehouse system.
  • Ability to interpret and follow written warehouse documents, manifests, and instructions.
  • Capability to sort, organize, and place merchandise accurately according to established sequences.
  • Commitment to following safety guidelines while working around forklifts and material handling equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in warehouse, material handling, picking, packing, shipping, or stocking is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory and order processing is an advantage.
  • No certifications required; training and certification on CROWN trucks will be provided upon permanent hire.
  • Willingness to work a 2pm shift and adapt to operational needs within the warehouse.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic, with the ability to work under direct supervision and follow established processes.

Work Environment

The position is based in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled warehouse with narrow aisles and frequent movement of forklifts and hand carts operating in safety-conscious patterns. Work involves standing, walking, and navigating aisles while handling merchandise and equipment throughout the shift. Cell phones and personal electronics are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain safety and focus. Closed-toe shoes are required, and you will work around powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment in a busy, team-oriented setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
