Senior Tort Defense Trial Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tort Defense Trial Attorney to join our team in a dynamic, in-house/full-time role. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of complex cases from inception through trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of tort defense matters, including trucking/transportation, premises liability, product liability, and general negligence
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial
• Develop case strategy and provide risk assessments
• Represent clients in court, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Collaborate with internal teams and outside partners as needed

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in [insert state]
• Minimum of 6 years of tort defense litigation experience
• Proven trial experience (first-chair or significant second-chair)
• Strong knowledge of insurance defense practices and procedures
• Excellent writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and billable time with accountability
