Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team at Anderson, Eckstein and Westrick, Inc. In this role, you will be working closely with Project Managers and junior staff to instrumental in developing solutions that enhance safety and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of providing high-quality engineering services to the clients and communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities for this role would include:
• Initiate Traffic Operation Studies, providing capacity analysis and design of geometric elements.
• Conduct traffic impact studies, safety studies and signal design, and prepare reports to support project development.
• Preparation of construction plans and specifications, including signal and pavement marking design, maintenance of traffic design, etc.
• Design and analyze traffic systems to improve safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with municipal and private clients on traffic projects.
• Delegate and mentor junior staff within department.
• Utilize Civil 3D, Synchro, SimTraffic, and MicroStation for design work and project documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and project proposals.
• Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.
• 10-15+ Years Experience
• Strong knowledge of traffic planning principles and practices.
• Excellent technical writing skills for report preparation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, including mentoring junior staff.
