Role: Senior Tax Manager (Partnership Taxation)

Locations: Dallas, Austin, Houston, TX (Hybrid Role: Minimum of 3 days in the office or minimum of 3 days at the client)


Proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns and strong understanding of Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, is required


Required Skills

  • Minimum ten years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience
  • Experience with partnership structuring, entity formation and mergers & acquisitions is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns and strong understanding of Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, is required
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills


Preferred or Nice-to-have Skills

  • Prior public accounting experience - Big 4 or top 15 firm, client revenue size $50M to $1B, no job hopping,


Years of Experience: Minimum ten years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience


Industry Experience: retail, restaurant, hospitality, technology, financial services, professional services, manufacturing, B2B and B2C, etc.


Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting


Must-haves

  • Active CPA in the state of Texas or reciprocity to TX


Notes: Preferred location is Dallas with Houston and Austin as other locations.

Candidates should have advanced technical and leadership capabilities

Must be able to step into the role quickly and effectively, guiding complex engagements and mentoring junior team members

Capable of becoming “actionable” leaders within a short ramp-up period (3–6 months)
