Overview:The Senior Tax Analyst will support all aspects of the income tax provision process, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls compliance & reporting, and other special projects. This position will also assist with the preparation and filing of corporate federal income tax returns and support as needed for IRS audit.
Responsibilities:- Assists in the preparation of the interim and annual worldwide income tax provision, including the effective tax rate, analysis of tax accounts and uncertain tax positions, valuation allowance analysis, journal entries and other supporting schedules.
- Utilizes the Company’s tax provision software for consolidation and tax disclosures.
- Assists in the preparation of U.S. GAAP tax disclosures for SEC Form 10-K and 10-Q reporting.
- Prepares balance sheet tax account reconciliations.
- Assists in the SOX internal controls compliance and reporting.
- Assists with tax process improvement initiatives and tax technology implementations
- Support federal audits by responding to IDR’s
- Assist with preparation of federal tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimated tax payments, and return-to-provision calculations.
- Identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance, including the use of technology- enabled solutions.
Qualifications:- Working knowledge of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes, relevant FASB pronouncements and internal controls.
- Broad knowledge of US federal tax rules as applicable to a multinational corporate environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities; and work effectively in a team environment.
Skills and Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting or Finance with an advanced degree preferred
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of Corporate Income Tax experience, ASC 740 experience a plus
- Big 4 or Multinational corporate experience preferred
- Experience working in OneSource Tax Provision, Onesource Income Tax, and SAP a plus
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
