Senior Systems Engineer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting a large US Government program in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.  This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation.
• Responsible for applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement.
• Interaction with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Communicates with other TDP project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area.
• Contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
• 7 years of position-relevant work experience.
• DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III or the ability to obtain DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III within 6 months of employment
• Experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements.
• Experience with use case development and requirements derivation.
• Experience with developing technical project artifacts.
• Familiarity with Agile software development process and experience with software engineering processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering.
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP), and DAWIA Systems Engineering Level III.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

• Use of computers and an ability for productivity in a government office environment within the APG
• Ability to travel within the APG to visit various physical customer locations.
