Our direct-to-consumer clients is seeking a hands-on, strategic Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for their high-growth, consumer products business at the intersection of hardware, technology, and subscription-based offerings.
This individual will play a critical role in building and optimizing a global supply chain that supports new product innovation, evolving demand patterns, and a highly dynamic commercial environment.
This is an opportunity for a “builder” who thrives in early-stage environments, someone who can operate both strategically and tactically, owning sourcing, procurement, and supplier partnerships while driving cost efficiencies and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Supply Chain Ownership
- Own and manage the full supply chain lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, production coordination, and inbound logistics
- Develop scalable processes to support a growing and evolving product portfolio
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product Development, and Leadership to align supply chain strategy with business goals
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers across hardware, electronics, and soft goods (e.g., materials, packaging, bags, foam components)
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including international partners (primarily in Asia)
- Establish multi-sourcing strategies and redundancies to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to drive cost savings and long-term value
Cost & Materials Management
- Own bill of materials (BOM) cost management, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality
- Partner with engineering and product teams on material selection, cost optimization, and supplier capabilities
- Leverage market insights and supplier networks to ensure competitive pricing and access to key materials
New Product Development (NPD) Support
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams on new product launches
- Support sourcing, validation testing, and supplier readiness for new SKUs
- Ensure supply chain readiness for rapid product innovation cycles
Demand Planning & Supply Alignment
- Partner with internal teams to navigate demand variability driven by evolving marketing strategies and subscription models
- Develop flexible supply strategies to manage forecasting uncertainty and changing business needs
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6–10+ years of supply chain experience with a strong focus on sourcing and procurement
- Experience managing supply chains for consumer products that include hardware, electronics, and/or soft goods
- Proven track record of building and managing global supplier networks, including international sourcing (Asia preferred)
- Strong experience with BOM cost management and cost optimization initiatives
- Exposure to subscription-based models and/or direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses is highly preferred
- Experience supporting new product development and product launches
- Highly resourceful with an established network of suppliers, material experts, and industry contacts
