Position Description – Aerospace Training Manager

 

 

Overview

The Aerospace Training Manager leads the delivery, oversight, and quality assurance of aerospace training and assessment programs. This role manages instructors and assessors while ensuring all courseware, evaluations, and client deliverables meet strict aerospace industry standards.

 

 

 

The Manager is responsible for maintaining operational excellence, driving team performance, and ensuring the highest level of customer service in a professional environment. Flexibility is essential, as this position requires working beyond standard hours to meet operational needs and client demands. Keep in mind while there is a job description below new requirements are constantly being added and we must adapt to them.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and supervise a team of Instructors and Industrial Skills Assessors across multiple locations and shifts.

Oversee and administer complex evaluation systems (hands-on and theoretical) ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Ensure all training programs meet aerospace industry standards, compliance requirements, and client expectations.

Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining high-quality delivery.

Monitor and evaluate instructor and assessor performance, providing feedback, mentorship, and corrective action when needed.

Maintain accurate records. 

Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe industrial training environment.

Communicate effectively with clients, leadership, and internal teams regarding updates, issues, and performance.

Stay current on aerospace technologies, compliance requirements, and training methodologies.

Technical Scope / Skill Areas

Oversight and familiarity are required across training disciplines, including:

Electrical systems (installations, crimping, soldering, troubleshooting)

Bonding and grounding

Aircraft assembly and structural work

Heavy and light structure drilling, fastener, and rivet installation

Aircraft sealant application

Blueprint reading and production standards.

Aircraft systems operation and troubleshooting

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), including confined space, LOTTO, DOT, and fall protection.

Use of power tools and hand tools in production environments

Qualifications

3–7+ years of experience in aerospace training, assessment, or production leadership roles

Prior leadership or management experience preferred.

Strong technical background in aerospace manufacturing or maintenance

Proven ability to instruct, mentor, and lead technical teams.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills

Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new systems and software quickly.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Military experience is highly valued.

Work Environment & Requirements

Professional work environment with a higher standard dress code (Dress Shoes, Dress Shirts, Slacks) expected for leadership roles.

Position requires standing for extended periods while observing instruction and assessments.

Work may involve travel across multiple sites (Everett to Puyallup region)

Must maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

Schedule & Expectations

Flexibility is essential in this role.

Managers must be available to support operations across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts as needed and may have to be onsite with little notification. Primary shift 4:30 am – 3 pm , also must be available to work 2nd and 3rd shift as needed. 

Work hours will regularly exceed 40 hours per week, based on business demands, client schedules, and operational needs.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $84k-86k.
