The Senior Recruitment and Business Development Specialist is a high-impact role, responsible for driving revenue growth across both temporary staffing and direct hire placements, with a strong emphasis on expanding the direct hire business line. This individual serves as a strategic partner to clients, a mentor to junior recruiting staff, and a leader in delivering exceptional talent solutions. The role combines business development, full-cycle recruiting, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to grow both temporary staffing and direct hire revenue streams, with a primary focus on direct hire expansion in partnership with branch manager
- Identify, pursue, and secure new client partnerships while strengthening existing relationships
- Conduct client needs assessments and deliver customized workforce solutions
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, KPIs, and gross margin goals
Direct Hire Focus
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of direct hire opportunities
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand long-term talent needs
- Position direct hire services as a strategic solution, not just transactional hiring
- Negotiate fees, terms, and contracts for permanent placements
Recruiting & Talent Delivery
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for both temporary and direct hire roles
- Source, screen, and qualify top-tier candidates across various industries
- Ensure a high-quality candidate and client experience throughout the hiring process
- Maintain strong talent pipelines and market intelligence
Leadership, Mentorship & Coaching
- Mentor and develop junior recruiter, providing guidance on sourcing, recruiting strategies, and client management
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and skill development planning
- Lead by example in productivity, professionalism, and service excellence
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
Team Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with junior recruiter to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation in CRM/ATS systems
- Analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Uphold company standards, compliance, and best practices
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or workforce solutions
- Proven success in direct hire placements and business development
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead junior team members
- Strong sales acumen with a consultative approach
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution abilities
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, adaptability and a positive attitude particularly when handling high-pressure situations
- Track record of exceeding revenue and placement goals
- Leadership or team lead experience within a staffing environment
- Proficiency in ATS/CRM systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish
