Location: Remote (Pacific Time Zone Preferred)

Compensation: up to $80K base

Overview

A large, well-established, publicly traded industry leader is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its regional accounting team.


This role offers broad exposure across accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within a highly structured and process-driven environment. You’ll work closely with leadership while gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is looking to grow within a stable, large-scale organization.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end close activities

• Analyze financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances

• Support internal controls and SOX compliance processes

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

• Partner cross-functionally with operations and corporate teams

• Support audits and respond to internal and external information requests

• Assist with capital expenditure accounting and asset tracking

• Contribute to process improvements and reporting efficiencies

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience (industry preferred)

• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting

• Solid foundation in GAAP and financial reporting

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables)

• Experience with general ledger systems; Oracle a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Strong communication and organizational skills
