A well-established, mission-driven fintech organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join its growing tech team on a contract-to-hire basis. This company is investing heavily in enterprise-grade generative AI to transform complex, multi-source data into intelligent business applications used by nationwide financial services firms. They’re now considered an industry leader of fintech innovation.
This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role for someone who wants ownership, visibility, and influence. Sitting at the intersection of AI, data, and development teams, this position plays a critical role in the design & implementation of new software applications, maintenance and enhancement of various software products/solutions. This will be a hybrid onsite/remote position located in either Irvine or Ontario, California. As such, only candidates local to these areas will be considered.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused—someone who can partner with engineers, data specialists, and business leaders while driving development decisions that directly shape production platforms.
General Responsibilities:
- Champion the modernization of software engineering practices, specifically by accelerating the integration of AI-driven development methodologies.
- Dedicate 80% of your focus to hands-on design and active development in support of the core engineering team, with the remaining 20% focused on technology research, coaching, and mentorship.
- Ensure the performance, maintainability, and functional integrity of specific products and projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial design and active development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically focused on building enterprise-grade business process automation solutions.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the .NET/C# & Javascript/Typescript ecosystem and modern web frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.
- Experience with Azure cloud containerized applications and deployment.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging Generative AI, including GitHub Copilot and advanced prompt engineering, to optimize development workflows.
- Deep proficiency in data repository models, with a strong requirement for SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural patterns including microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and event-driven systems via asynchronous messaging.
Compensation Package:
- Contract Pay: $65-67/hour
- Salary when hired perm: $150-160k
