Senior Software Engineer

A fast-growing AI startup is building a product that will change how businesses find and manage what they need to operate. Using agentic workflows, they're turning a traditionally manual, fragmented process into something seamless and intelligent. They're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who can move fluidly across the stack, with a lean toward backend systems, to help scale a platform where AI is core to the product, not just a feature.

This isn't a "sit in your lane" role. You'll collaborate directly with founders and senior engineers, ship fast, and have real ownership over features that matter.

This role is 4 days/week in Brooklyn. Candidates must be comfortable with a hybrid work setting.

What you'll be doing:

• Building and owning full stack features across React/TypeScript frontends and Node.js, Java, and Python backend services
• Designing and maintaining scalable APIs, data pipelines, and backend architecture
• Integrating AI/LLM-powered capabilities (OpenAI, Anthropic, RAG pipelines) into core product workflows
• Contributing to frontend UI and product experiences while driving backend decisions
• Prototyping and shipping new features alongside founders and product teams

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years of full stack experience with strong JS/TS fundamentals and production React
• Solid backend experience in Node.js, with Java or Python a big plus
• 1-2 years of recent startup experience, you know how to move fast and build in ambiguity
• Comfort with API design, system architecture, and working across the full stack
• Genuine interest in AI and what it can actually do in production

Bonus points for: Next.js, cloud/infra (AWS, GCP), containerization, or experience with LLM tooling and agentic systems.
