Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for Senior Security Assistant to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Program Executive Office (PEO) Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Hanscom Air Force Base. This role provides essential security support across over 130 acquisition programs for the United States Air Force and allied foreign nations. As part of the integrated Information Protection team, the Senior Security Assistant will execute multi-disciplinary security responsibilities spanning personnel, information, industrial, operational, and physical security domains.
This is a full time position at Hanscom AFB, MA
Responsibilities
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Clearance
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience (3 years in the DoD), OR
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s
Technical Skills
Familiarity with DISS and the DD Form 254 process
Understanding of counterintelligence threats and DoD/AF security policies
Basic understanding of cloud-based classified systems
Skilled in handling sensitive materials with sound judgment
Ability to identify and properly safeguard classified materials
Interpersonal Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Capable of working in a dynamic environment with military, civilian, and contractor personnel
Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive or classified information

Duties include, but not limited to: - Provide security support and technical guidance for collateral and SCI programs - Support Information Protection (IP) leads, program managers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance across the acquisition lifecycle - Develop and maintain security documentation (OPSEC plans, classification guides, SOPs, Program Protection Plans, DD254s) - Review and manage classified/CUI materials, including markings, distribution, storage, transmission, and destruction - Track and manage personnel security clearances, access eligibility, and DISS records - Process visitor access requests (VARs), foreign visits/contacts, and clearance documentation (e-QIP/SF-86 support) - Handle classified mail, courier processes, and accountability records - Support secure facility operations (CAP/SWA), access control, inspections, and alarm systems - Assist with COMSEC/secure communications responsibilities as needed - Support security training, awareness programs, and compliance inspections
