Senior Security Analyst, IAM

Purpose of Role:

The Senior Security Analyst role will be a key member of Lowe’s dynamic team responsible for ensuring the quality of Lowe’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) program with a focus on the Quality and Process component.The IAM team is completely modernizing the identity landscape as a cornerstone for Lowe’s security posture, and the Senior Security Analyst will be responsible for supporting Identity and Access Management services which includes:

Providing insights into the IAM leadership team on relevant metrics, including risk exposure/avoidance, operational performance, and progress on strategic initiatives; Maintaining completeness and accuracy of IAM metadata; Assisting in the design and execution of identity governance activities, including user access reviews and role/resource reviews, to ensure that access is in accordance with business requirements; and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Additionally, the Senior Security Analyst will function as a key liaison between Information Security and business partners, as well as internal and external auditors. The Information Security Analyst II must possess superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of management (both technical and non-technical) and explain the need for key controls to technical and non-technical resources.

The Senior Security Analyst must be highly motivated and possess strong, hands-on technical knowledge of a wide range of information security controls and the process used for evaluating control design and effectiveness.

Responsibility Statements:
  • Identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and relevant opportunities for internal control improvement.
  • Understands complex IT infrastructure design and documentation
  • Understands network and systems architecture
  • Analyze technical and business requirements from a security perspective and make appropriate recommendations to reduce the overall risk to Lowe’s.
  • Understand and discuss security policies and standards and how they align with their customers.
  • Understand the different regulatory compliance standards and can communicate how they are applicable.
  • Assist project teams in evaluating IT Risk and Compliance considerations for projects
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in the work process and innovative approaches to completing the scope of work
  • Possess strong analytical and communication skills across the environment
  • Participate in team problem-solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for the completion and accuracy of work products
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • H.S. Diploma and 6+ years relevant work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years relevant work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Security Analyst or equivalent
  • One or more of the following Information Security certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC
  • Analytical / problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Knowledge of infrastructure (networks and servers), services and security policies
  • Ability to work in a team environment

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • 4 years retail experience in an Information Technology related area
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • Previous experience working in Information Security Access Management
  • Experience with conducting risk assessments
  • Experience with Power BI
