Senior Sales Consultant

I. Position Background

We are hiring a Senior Sales Consultant based in California, USA, responsible for developing business opportunities with the following target clients:

  • U.S.-based companies in California, including local startups and fast-growing innovative teams, with a focus on high-tech and internet industries, as well as sectors such as new energy, pharmaceuticals, AI, semiconductors, etc. (but not limited to these industries)
  • Chinese companies with branch offices in California
  • Japanese companies with branch offices in California

This role will leverage the company’s in-house R&D capabilities and solutions/consulting services to drive project-based sales and long-term partnerships with international clients.


II. Key Responsibilities

1. R&D Capabilities & Technical Services Sales

  • Promote the company’s capabilities in software development, engineering delivery, and technical services to target clients
  • Understand clients’ business and technical needs and translate them into actionable service solutions
  • Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to support client communication, solution presentations, commercial negotiations, and contract execution

2. Solution & Consulting-Based Sales

  • Recommend the company’s integrated solutions and consulting services to clients and their upstream/downstream partners
  • Participate in the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, requirement analysis, solution design, and project delivery
  • Support complex sales processes involving cross-region, cross-team, and multi-stakeholder collaboration

3. Client Relationship & Business Development

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and continuously identify new business opportunities
  • Cover local clients in California and coordinate with their headquarters or overseas teams
  • Represent the company in business meetings, industry events, and client engagements


III. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields
  • 5–10+ years of experience in B2B sales, consultative sales, or technical sales
  • Familiarity with software development services, IT services, or solution/consulting business models
  • Experience working with overseas or multinational clients

Strong ability to engage with mid-to-senior level stakeholders (Director / VP / C-level) and drive projects forward

  • Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear commercial solutions
  • Experience in complex projects, cross-cultural, or cross-regional collaboration is preferred

Proficiency in English as a working language

  • Chinese or Japanese language skills are a plus (to support Chinese/Japanese clients)
  • Willingness to work long-term in California, USA, and travel as required
