Job Title: Senior Technical Agile Project Manager

Location: New York, NY (100% Remote Role)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Pay Rate: $56-$66/hr (W2), depending on experience

Interview Mode: 1st round via Teams. 2nd round onsite in NYC (despite being remote rote)

NOTE: MUST BE ABLE TO ONBOARD FOR FIRST WEEK ONSITE IN NYC. REST OF ROLE IS REMOTE

Position Overview

Our Fortune 500 client located in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Technical Agile Project Manager to support enterprise Customer Engagement initiatives within the clients' Business Systems Delivery (BSD) organization. This role will lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional technology projects focused on Pega-based platforms, customer operations, and digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Agile and hybrid delivery environments, with the ability to manage full project lifecycles from planning through implementation. This individual will work closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to drive execution, ensure alignment, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet both business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Delivery

  • Plan, organize, and manage large-scale, cross-functional IT projects with significant business impact
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, and work plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to drive successful project outcomes
  • Monitor progress against milestones and implement corrective actions as needed

Agile Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Support Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall delivery models as required
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC and DevOps best practices
  • Partner with Scrum Masters and delivery teams to drive continuous improvement

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, product owners, and leadership teams
  • Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions through reports, dashboards, and executive presentations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams

Delivery Governance & Execution

  • Ensure compliance with Azure DevOps processes for tracking tasks, defects, and progress
  • Define release scope and schedules, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of business value
  • Identify and remove delivery impediments, escalating risks when necessary
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and support testing, validation, and knowledge transfer

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and mentor project teams, defining roles and responsibilities to optimize performance
  • Coordinate activities across internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, reuse, and efficiency gains
  • Define and maintain project management processes, standards, and best practices
  • Drive data-driven decision making through metrics, KPIs, and performance tracking

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience as a Technical Project Manager / Agile Delivery Lead in enterprise environments
  • Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, SDLC, and DevOps methodologies
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional IT projects
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for project tracking and delivery management
  • Strong experience with API integrations and cloud-based project delivery (Azure preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, risks, and competing priorities
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, Agile environment
