Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead project management services for a high-profile airport lounge project at Miami airport. The role involves overseeing complex, large-scale projects with a focus on client service excellence. This is a dynamic position requiring both hands-on project management and leadership of a professional team. The candidate must be based in Miami and will work remotely when not required on job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of construction management strategies for a team.
  • Oversee project implementation from pre-construction through completion, including ground-up projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage extensive interfaces with architects, client staff, property managers, and vendors.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships, addressing conflict resolution and ensuring project performance criteria are met.
  • Identify and address areas of potential liability and risk to management.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technology applications required for assigned projects.
  • Ensure vendor and project team performance compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations.
  • Convey acceptable practices and policies to the team, making independent judgments related to operational procedures.
  • Contribute to the refinement of best practices and standards of excellence for the business unit.
  • Serve as a lead relationship manager for a strategic alliance client and potentially develop and manage a team of people.

Essential Skills

  • 10 years of Project Management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Experience in industrial construction, business development, construction management, and site work.
  • Proficiency in managing all aspects of construction projects including budgeting, scheduling, and change orders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with executive-level clients and team members.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Project.
  • Ability to manage medium and large ground-up development projects and corporate interiors projects.
  • Experience in supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating project managers.
  • Ability to develop business relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Airport experience preferred; experience in luxury hospitality or retail is advantageous.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts.
  • A strong working knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and corporate real estate processes.
  • Experience working with landlords, developers, and institutional owners.

Work Environment

The position offers remote work flexibility with required local job site visits in Miami. The role requires the ability to visit job sites at any time of day or night, based on project needs. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
