Project Manager – Mission Critical (MEP) | Data Centers
A leading, globally connected engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects in the Kansas City region.
This is a high-impact, on-site role overseeing the successful execution of two hyperscale data centers within a single campus. The position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced building systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex, technically demanding projects.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of design and construction, acting as a key liaison between engineering teams, contractors, and clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery—ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met across all MEP scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
- Oversee on-site project activities, including coordination meetings and progress reviews
- Manage and maintain detailed project schedules from design through closeout
- Coordinate across all MEP disciplines, ensuring alignment between design intent and field execution
- Track project scope, costs, RFIs, and change orders using document management systems
- Review and coordinate technical documentation across multiple trades
- Conduct site walks, identify deficiencies, and drive resolution of field issues
- Support commissioning efforts, equipment delivery coordination, and punch list completion
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of project challenges
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data center construction, project engineering, or MEP project management
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building design practices
- Experience coordinating complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, and cost control
- Familiarity with building codes, energy standards, and permitting processes
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Willingness to travel as project needs require

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary in the range of $140,000 – $170,000
