Experience:  10+ years of sitework project management 

Project WorkloadIdeally have 1-2 high profile/complex projects, ranging in value from $8-$15 million each.  Under the general direction of the CEO and Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager will thoroughly assess high level project planning, resource allocation, cost management, record-keeping and quality control. The Senior Project Manager will have a solution-based approach to problem solving, and they must have a high level of risk management and contingency planning to address potential challenges. In addition to high level project related tasks, the Senior Project Manager will have direct oversight of junior project managers, superintendents, and other team members as needed. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership oversight across multiple projects to ensure consistency in execution, financial performance, and adherence to company standards 
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex project challenges, disputes, and risk mitigation strategies 
  • Drive high-level project planning including manpower forecasting, equipment utilization, and long-term scheduling coordination across projects 
  • Partner with executive leadership to align project execution with company goals, growth strategy, and operational priorities 
  • Lead project financial reviews, including cost-to-complete analysis, margin improvement strategies, and risk exposure identification 
  • Establish and enforce best practices, SOPs, and process improvements across the project management team 
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and field leadership, with a focus on building future leaders within JWC 
  • Participate in high-level client meetings, negotiations, and relationship management for key accounts 
  • Provide oversight on contract strategy, including risk evaluation, terms negotiation, and dispute resolution 
  • Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to improve bid strategy, project handoff, and overall win-rate quality 
  • Monitor and improve project reporting systems to ensure accurate forecasting, scheduling, and financial tracking 
  • Champion accountability across teams while reinforcing JWC culture and “The JWC Way” in all operations
  • Assists executive committee in developing and implementing new business strategies and SOPs 
  • Maintain and foster positive culture and relationships with leadership, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees 
  • Be a team player and willing to jump in where/ as needed 
  • Maintain a solution-based mind-set (present ideas for fixes, not problems)

Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in sitework construction management and/or estimating
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, B2W, or other comparable takeoff software platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
  • Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout the term of employment
  • Independent, self-managed professional with comprehensive knowledge of the sitework industry
  • Experience with HCSS is preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of time in your vehicle
  • Prolonged periods of time standing on a job site outdoors in sometimes unlevel terrain
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each company’s work site, often in different locations around the tri-county area
