Our client is a leading MEP construction firm delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure projects across the U.S. They specialise in mission-critical environments, with a strong track record in delivering high-value data centre projects for global clients.



About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of two large-scale data centre projects, each valued at approximately £80M. This role requires strong leadership across MEP disciplines, with a particular focus on electrical systems within mission-critical environments. You will oversee all aspects of project execution from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.



Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of two concurrent data centre projects
  • Manage all MEP scopes, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems (LV/MV, switchgear, UPS, generators, critical power infrastructure)
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Drive programme performance and ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact
  • Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Monitor project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and cost control
  • Lead project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and site staff
  • Support commissioning and handover processes for mission-critical facilities


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within MEP construction
  • Strong track record delivering data centre or mission-critical projects
  • Electrical bias is essential (background in electrical engineering or trade)
  • Experience managing large-scale projects (£50M+ / $75M+)
  • Deep understanding of critical systems (UPS, generators, BMS, power distribution)
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously


Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in the U.S. construction market
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes in data centres
  • Experience with Tier III / Tier IV facilities
