Senior Project Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer for a 10+ months contract with a client located in Minneapolis MN


Pay Range: $52/hr. - $63/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)


Summary:

In this role, you will play a key part in developing factory test equipment while supporting the success of our Ring Laser Gyro and Inertial Measurement products. Your strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of new equipment builds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project building and validation of Factory Test Equipment.
  • Develop and manage project schedules.
  • Establish new build processes for custom factory equipment.
  • Apply technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge to Factory Test Equipment (FTE).
  • Integration of test solution designs into working systems for the Factory.
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers for BOM development and acquisition of parts for equipment builds.
  • Generate engineering documents for the FTE - schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, specifications, etc.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
  • Experience with equipment testing and validation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting capability to isolate failure modes and implement solutions.
  • Ability to focus on important information and identify key details.
  • Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on given project tasks.
  • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes.
