The Senior Program / Project Manager is responsible for rapidly translating strategy into execution, building momentum across teams, and ensuring initiatives progress decisively while meeting regulatory, risk, and control expectations.

Deep financial services and asset management industry experience is critical for this role, which operates at the heart of USBAM’s most complex and visible initiatives spanning client reporting, digital client experience, securities lending, portfolio and investment management, accounting and administration, performance measurement, investment product launches, and marketing and sales enablement.

The successful candidate will operate comfortably at both the strategic and execution levels, partnering closely with investment, operations, technology, risk, compliance, vendors, and executive leadership. This role directly supervises and develops project and business analysis talent and is accountable for driving delivery excellence across the Business Solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rigorously own and maintain the RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), driving timely mitigation and escalation; lead change and decision governance by presenting clear options and recommendations for senior leadership approval on critical scope, schedule, funding, and risk decisions.

  • Monitor delivery performance across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and outcomes, providing frequent status communications to project stakeholders and sponsors.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

  • Partner with senior leaders, sponsors, and functional heads to align initiatives to strategic objectives, translating ambiguous or high‑level goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Prepare and deliver executive‑ready communications including status updates, risk summaries, decision decks, and roadmaps.

  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and executive reviews, with credibility at the USBAM CEO and Senior Leadership Team level.

Business Analysis Leadership

  • Manage and develop a team of Business Analysts, including competency assessment, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.

  • Ensure standardization and quality of business analysis deliverables by aligning practices with globally recognized IIBA best practices.

  • Apply deep knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques to ensure business intent is clearly translated into effective solutions.

Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Mentor project managers and support the ongoing maturity of the PMO by evaluating the effectiveness of methodologies, tools, and governance practices, and driving continuous improvements to strengthen execution discipline and consistency across the portfolio.

  • Operate effectively in an evolving product-model environment, integrating traditional project management disciplines into product-oriented ways of working and leveraging tools such as Jira and Confluence to align delivery plans, backlogs, milestones, and documentation across product, engineering, and platform teams.

  • Assist product teams and business leaders with initiative prioritization and transition of concepts into executable programs and projects; advocate for assigned business areas.

Contract, Vendor, & Resource Management

  • Partner with third-party vendors across the engagement lifecycle, including RFQs, contracts, and vendor delivery teams to ensure alignment on scope, plans, milestones, and outcomes.

  • Coordinate resource planning across internal teams and external partners.

  • Ensure initiatives remain within approved financial and capacity constraints.
