About Us
We're a team of industry veterans who've co-founded Luma AI, shipped the Apple Vision Pro, and scaled real-time video and inference infrastructure at Meta, Replicate, Microsoft and Adobe. We're backed by Tier 1 investors and angels from across AI, gaming, infrastructure and robotics.
At Reactor, our mission is to unlock a future where anyone can create interactive media applications that delight, educate, and simulate. We're building a new kind of platform for real-time generative media, enabling developers to go from idea to immersive, dynamic experience in seconds. We aspire to continuously push the boundaries of what's possible: if you're driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Real-time video AI and world models are about to change how people interact with computers, with each other, and with the physical world. We're building that future at Reactor. This role is your chance to design how it feels to use and interact with these capabilities.
You'll own design at Reactor end-to-end. That means defining the problem, exploring solutions, shipping polished experiences, and iterating on real usage. The interfaces for this technology don't exist yet, so you won't be following established patterns. You'll be creating new ones.
What You'll Do
- Own product design end-to-end: problem definition, exploration, execution, and post-launch iteration
- Design experiences across web and mobile contexts
- Build and maintain our design system: components, tokens, and documentation
- Prototype rapidly using Figma and AI-assisted tools to validate ideas before committing to build
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product to ship high-quality work, fast
- Run lightweight user research and incorporate feedback into design decisions
- Occasionally support brand, pitch decks, and visual assets as needed
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record shipping product work. Show us things you've designed that are live and loved
- Deep experience with design systems: components, tokens, and collaborating with engineers to maintain them
- Strong end-to-end feature ownership in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- A craftsperson's eye for typography, spacing, color, motion, and visual detail
- Comfort with rapid prototyping and "vibe coding". You use modern tools to move fast, even if you're not writing production code
- User research instincts: you talk to users, test assumptions, and let data inform your work
- Strong communication skills. You can articulate design rationale and align cross-functional teams
- Accessibility awareness baked into your process
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, or real-time media UX patterns
- Frontend literacy: React, TypeScript, or CSS knowledge that helps you collaborate with engineers
- Motion design experience (Framer Motion, After Effects, or similar)
- Graphic design chops for brand and marketing needs

- Competitive SF salary and meaningful early equity
