Summary of Job

The Senior Supply Chain Planner is responsible for developing and executing supply plans that balance customer service, inventory levels, production capacity, and cost efficiency.

This role plays a critical part in aligning demand forecasts with manufacturing and procurement plans, ensuring optimal product availability while minimizing waste and excess inventory


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Supply & production planning

  • Develop short- and mid-term production plans aligned with demand forecasts
  • Balance capacity, labor, and material constraints across manufacturing sites
  • Monitor adherence to production schedules and resolve supply gaps
  • Optimize line utilization and minimize changeovers where possible


Inventory Management:

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels for finished goods and raw materials
  • Manage safety stock parameters and replenishment strategies
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to slow-moving, obsolete, or short shelf-life products


S&OP / IBP Process Support

  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings
  • Provide supply outlook, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Scenario planning to address demand variability or capacity constraints


Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality
  • Communicate constraints, risks, and recovery plans proactively
  • Support new product launches and product transitions

Education and Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of supply chain planning experience (food, beverage)
  • Experience managing capacity constraints and shelf-life products
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with planning tools (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, etc.) preferred

Food Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, GMPs, and Food Defense
  • Report any observed food safety violations to Management
