Senior Operations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned, data-quality focused Senior Operations Manager with 10+ years of experience to oversee daily operations, optimize workflows, and scale our data collection infrastructure. In this role, you will be the driving operational force that bridges the gap between high-level research goals and frontline execution.
This role requires a unique leadership style: we are looking for someone who is highly approachable, but firm. You must be a supportive, collaborative leader who fosters high team morale, while maintaining the strong accountability, discipline, and high standards required to execute complex robotics operations safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
👥 High-Touch Leadership & Team Management- Manage comprehensive day-to-day operations, providing direct supervision, mentorship, and career guidance to Supervisors, POCs, and Operators.
- Act as an approachable yet firm leader on the floor; cultivate an inclusive, high-morale environment while strictly enforcing operational discipline, policies, and Partnership standards.
- Standardize interview processes and lead candidate selection to scale the team with top-tier operational talent.
- Oversee workplace safety and compliance by conducting regular floor walks and actively participating in ergonomic safety reviews.
Operational Execution & Process Optimization- Drive the continuous improvement of data collection operations, implementing innovative policies and methodologies to accelerate timelines while reducing costs.
- Partner closely with Researchers and Operators to maintain an uncompromising focus on data quality and process integrity.
- Establish and monitor robust performance dashboards to track daily quota attainment and frontline operational metrics.
- Participate in rigorous Ops and Data Reviews to provide strategic operational feedback and mitigate risks during critical pilot runs.
🌐 Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Management- Serve as the primary operational Point of Contact (POC) for cross-functional teams, ensuring all deliverables meet organizational benchmarks.
- Maintain strong communication, alignment, and accountability between internal Partnerships and external vendors to guarantee seamless, uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate deeply with Researchers and Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to optimize resource allocation, shadow operational readiness, and improve core metrics.
- Structure and maintain comprehensive documentation of workflows on official Partnership systems to enable global virtual teams to scale effectively.
💰 Resource Management & Deployment Support- Evaluate current operational systems and workflows to determine the most efficient paths forward while balancing diverse stakeholder needs.
- Support the deployment of robotics infrastructure by assessing process gaps and defining the operational tools needed for large-scale setups.
- Provide data-driven investment recommendations for resource and capital allocation, coordinating directly with Project Managers for approvals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:- 10+ years of experience in Operations Management, Program Management, or leading large-scale operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of managing multi-tiered teams (Supervisors, Operators, Tech Leads) with a demonstrated ability to command respect while remaining accessible to staff.
- Extensive experience managing external vendor relationships, maintaining strict service level agreements (SLAs), and aligning cross-functional partnerships.
- Strong background in operational analytics, including creating dashboards, tracking KPIs, and driving quota attainment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience managing operations within tech, robotics, manufacturing, or large-scale data collection environments.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous environments, resolve conflicts firmly, and maintain team cohesion under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a passion for documentation, scalability, and data quality.
- Experience managing capital allocation, operational budgets, and securing resource approvals.
