Description

The New Product Development Mechanical Engineer III designs and develops innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical product components or sub-systems for industrial equipment. This position works as part of cross-functional development team to create designs that meet requirements for performance, product cost, and the project schedule.Perform as the Technical Lead for critical Sub-Systems design/development. Applies principles of engineering and science to achieve product designs at the subsystems level that deliver lasting competitive advantage. Creates new concepts to achieve functions of assigned mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems. Establishes subsystem performance specifications and plans for evolution of these specifications over time. Prepares preliminary layouts, models, sketches and/or schematic diagrams to aid in the understanding and solution of engineering problems.

Experience in the concept and design of Human Interface/Operator Environments.Knowledge of Ergonomics and related standards and ability to apply them to designs.Experience working with an Industrial Design Team.Experience working with SAP.Experience with SAP ECTR.Excellent hands-on skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00/hr.
