Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop new tools and fixtures to support manufacturing of both new and existing products; including proprietary manufacturing equipment for the site.
- Source, procure, and install new manufacturing process equipment.
- Design, implement, and manage new manufacturing processes and process improvements.
- Identify alternative options to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors, Operators, and other Engineering resources in helping to both identify process improvement needs and their implementation.
- Provide technical support & technical direction in addressing manufacturing issues.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with all company quality standards.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of design and development experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple and varied projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Experience using mechanical design software, i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
- Aptitude for mechanical and motion-controlled devices.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
