$70 million in new equipment, a team that trusts you, and problems worth solving: sound like your kind of shop?

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a precision machining operation that builds some of the most technically demanding components in general aviation. This is a first-shift, fully onsite role based in Mobile, Alabama - and it is built for someone who is equally comfortable reviewing CMM data at a workstation and standing next to a 5-axis machining center making real-time program adjustments. You will own production processes, close the gap between engineering and the shop floor, and be a key player in continuous improvement and new product development efforts. This is a long-term seat at a well-capitalized, growing operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily production machining operations: troubleshoot issues, adjust CNC programs and toolpaths, and keep the floor running at spec.
  • Review CMM data and apply statistical methods to evaluate and improve processes, integrating findings into MES work instructions.
  • Participate in the qualification and training of production team members, including signing off on operator training charts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a Lean Manufacturing focus, identifying opportunities across assigned cells and equipment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, operations, and quality to solve problems and advance new product development projects.
  • Develop and modify CNC programs (G-code, macro variable logic) to support ongoing and new production activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 4-12 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience with a strong background in CNC machining, ideally on 5-axis equipment.
  • Proven ability to interpret CMM data and make program or toolpath adjustments directly at the machine control.
  • Familiarity with Siemens PLC or similar machine controls; Mazak experience is a plus but not required.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, PPAP, SPC principles, and shop floor gaging methods.
