Manufacturing Engineer – New Product Introduction (NPI)
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)
Role: Full‑Time
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (NPI Focus) to own the transition of new products from Design Engineering into Production. This role sits at the center of engineering, operations, test, and supply chain—ensuring products are manufacturable, cost‑optimized, fully documented, and production‑ready.
What You’ll Do
- Partner early with Design Engineering and Manufacturing SMEs to optimize performance, compliance, cost, manufacturability, and testability
- Own BOMs, routes, and ERP accuracy through full NPI release
- Develop manufacturing, assembly, and test processes, including fixtures and test systems
- Lead prototype builds, providing hands‑on guidance to technicians and assemblers
- Drive cost, lead‑time, and process optimization through data, time studies, and vendor selection
- Perform compliance analysis (electrical, mechanical, environmental, regulatory) for new products
- Support smooth transition from prototype → production
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or NPI environments
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, SMT, PCB assemblies, test fixtures, and tolerance stack‑ups
- Experience working hands‑on with hardware in fast‑paced manufacturing settings
- ERP experience (AX / D365 preferred); SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Minitab a plus
- BSEE or MSEE preferred
- Ability to work with ITAR‑controlled data
