What you'll do...

With a proven understanding of both online and traditional marketing, this role will develop industry-specific relationships and drive revenue by negotiating and optimizing complex opportunities with strategic clients. Success in this position will require a proven ability to reach and influence executive level customers, ecosystem partners (Agencies, Platforms, Vendors, etc.) close new business and provide holistic marketing solutions.

Ideal candidates will possess extensive Alcohol industry experience (incl. Beer, Wine, & Spirits) and strong familiarity with the programmatic advertising ecosystem. Success in this position requires exceptional consultative sales, problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, complexity management, humility, a willingness to experiment, ability to thrive in a dynamic / fast-paced environment, and a passion for building a new vertical that will help partners achieve results.

As a Partner Manager on the Food team, you will report to a Team Lead and use your 7+ years of experience selling digital or omni performance advertising solutions to clients within the Alcohol industry. As the #1 Grocer in America, the Food business spans all Food categories, from Beverages to Cereals and Meal Solutions to Beer.

Responsibilities

  • Relationships: Establish and develop high-level collaborative relationships with decision makers; understand and identify contacts that manage multiple budget sources (brand, shopper, DR, video, etc.)
  • Vertical/Industry Expertise: Partner with teammates and cross-functional partners to structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives - developing account plans, synthesizing market related data, leading client analysis and defining the overall business approach to Walmart Connect's ("WMC") success with digitally focused businesses
  • Execute: Help Alcohol clients create and execute effective campaigns, measure results, and renewals to drive long-term revenue growth
  • Revenue: Reach and exceed sales quotas while contributing to overall vertical and team goals and initiatives
  • Measurement & Insights: Collaborate with measurement partners to create learning agenda and to help clients measure the impact of WMC's measurement solutions
  • Pipeline: Accurately and effectively manage sales pipeline to prioritize business opportunities and resources
  • Executive Presence: Exhibit executive presence and confidence in presenting WMC to CEOs and CMOs both at Walmart and at Suppliers/Marketers
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as an industry thought leader in creative and digital advertising to drive creative and client success leveraging WMC's ongoing product and technology developments. Create and deliver consultative sales presentations using industry knowledge, market trends, and WMC marketing solutions. Evangelize WMC with agencies, clients and at targeted events, conferences and media opportunities and champion product releases internally and externally

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills; strong attention to detail, and diligent follow-through
  • Is familiar with the nuances and intricacies of Alcohol advertising
  • Is highly organized and capable of navigating complexity of various internal/external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of programmatic, DSP's, data application, performance, and measurement trends
  • Strong track record of high-level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management
  • Experience working within a matrix organization and experience in executing the strategic vision of a new category
  • Is a creative and independent thinker that applies problem solving skills and consistently demonstrates initiative
  • Strong ability to apply operational rigor, methodologies and use technology to execute, assess, and explain complex brand and performance marketing solutions
  • 7+ years' experience in sales, preferably in Programmatic working with Alcohol accounts - or in Brand Advertising, Performance Marketing, e-Commerce Sales, Digital Video Sales, Retail Media, Experiential Marketing and/or Online Advertising
  • 7+ years' experience managing strategic client direct accounts and exceeding sales revenue goals

Preferred Qualifications...

Programmatic and/or advertising (for example, TV or video, sponsorship), experience in the Alcohol industry, retail media sales, advertising sales, mobile and online sales, Brand management, brand development, brand marketing, or brand investment. Self-service platforms, API knowledge, SaaS, search, programmatic, strategic Advisor working with C-Level Clients
