Job Summary

Leads the development and implementation of retention, archival, and deletion policies for business records, including customer records, across structured and unstructured data. Ensures compliance with legal and business requirements for data lifecycle management through the enablement of automated retention technologies.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in data governance or records management.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing retention regulations across enterprise systems.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage enterprise data retention schedules as part of overall controls design.
  • Collaborate with Global Privacy, Global Information Security, and Global Technology teams to implement archival and deletion protocols, ensuring robust control mechanisms.
  • Design and oversee automation technologies for retention workflows, encompassing both unstructured and structured data scope.
  • Ensure retention policies and control frameworks align with all regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with retention controls across organizational systems, actively monitoring and improving control effectiveness.
  • Develop and track key metrics related to data retention, evaluating the effectiveness and value of retention strategies and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support audits and investigations pertaining to the data lifecycle with a focus on controls assurance.
  • Advise business disciplines on best practices for data retention and controls implementation.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and training resources supporting controls design.
